Have A Fast Life With A Fast Broadband
A fast broadband connection seems to be taken for granted today in this fast moving world of the internet, routers and all other related paraphernalia. After going through the rather painful process of having a dial up connection, I decided it would be a good idea to think of a broadband. The point that I was not clear about was, how different this could be from the connection I already had.
It was indeed a pleasant shock that I had. I could not understand the speed at which my Internet Explorer was working. I just had to log on to the Google search site and type the words: World Wars. The list of sites for this particular topic seemed to be never ending one. It took less time to find the site than it took for me to key in the two words. I had absolutely no idea that a broadband could be this fast. This is when I understood fully the meaning of the term fast broadband.
When everyone around you is actually tripping on one another trying to get to their individual work places, I realized that life was better when you sat at home. Then came the reality: how do I support a wife and family of two growing children sitting at home. My wife thought I was crazy, browsing through the internet practically all through the day and night all because I could not believe the speed at which I could do so. Then came the enlightenment. I realized that I could actually sit at home and support my family, financially and otherwise. My investment and my stock-in-trade would be my fast broadband connection.
I was extremely happy with myself for being able to identify the many ways in which I could make use of this speed. I realized that I needed to ensure a few things, which I proceeded to do rather quickly. First I ensured that my computer had the right configuration which would help me complete my work in time. I had decided to do a lot of web content writing and proof reading jobs for advertisers. This did not seem to be a bad option to begin with. I was told by my internet service provider that the fast broadband connection would work well, if I did periodic scans and checks on the computer that I had. For instance, since I was making use of the internet extensively, my computer was open to all sorts of attacks. If I did not realize the need for the installation of a firewall system or an anti-virus software, I would have landed myself in one hell of a soup. Now I am really confident of being able to make full use of my fast broadband service connection. It is good to learn all about the connection before you actually sign up for it.
